Terms of Service

By creating an account or using the Missions platform (“Missions,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These Terms apply to all users, including brands, creators, and visitors.

Missions is a creator marketplace that connects brands (“Brands”) with content creators (“Creators”). Brands post missions specifying content requirements and payouts; Creators apply, produce content, and receive payment upon approval. Missions charges a platform fee on each payout.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction to use Missions. By using the platform you represent that you meet these requirements.

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
• You may not share your account or allow others to access it.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at hello@onmissions.fun.

• Creators must only submit original content they own and have the right to license.
• Submitted content must comply with platform guidelines and all applicable laws.
• Creators must comply with FTC disclosure requirements (e.g., #ad, #sponsored) on all brand-sponsored content.
• Creators may not submit fraudulent, plagiarized, or AI-generated content without brand consent.
• Creators must connect a valid Stripe account to receive payouts.

• Brands must fund missions via Stripe before creators are approved to submit content.
• Brands must review and act on submissions within a reasonable time.
• Brands may only reject submissions for legitimate reasons consistent with posted mission requirements.
• Brands may not use the platform to collect creator data for purposes other than running missions.

Missions uses a split-fee model. Brands pay a 15% service fee on top of the mission budget at checkout. Creators pay a 5% platform fee deducted from their payout upon approval.

Brands fund the total mission budget (payout × slots + 15% service fee) upfront via Stripe Checkout. When a submission is approved, the creator payout minus the 5% platform fee is transferred to their connected Stripe Express account. Standard Stripe processing fees also apply.

Payouts are made via Stripe's automated payout schedule. Missions is not responsible for delays caused by Stripe or banking systems.

All payments are processed in USD. Missions does not hold funds beyond what is necessary to process approved transfers.

Both Brands and Creators agree not to circumvent the Missions platform to avoid platform fees or to conduct business outside of it with parties they discovered through Missions. Specifically:

• Brands may not contact, hire, or commission Creators identified through Missions for commercial purposes outside of the platform for a period of 24 months following the date of first contact.
• Creators may not accept off-platform payment from a Brand they met through Missions for work that would otherwise fall under a mission.
• Users may not share or solicit contact information (email, phone, personal social handles) through the platform for the purpose of transacting outside of it.

Violations of this section may result in immediate account termination and Missions reserves the right to invoice the circumventing party for the equivalent platform fees that would have been charged on the transaction.

By submitting content through a mission, Creator grants Brand a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display the submitted content for purposes consistent with the mission brief, unless otherwise agreed in writing between Creator and Brand.

Missions is granted a limited license to display submitted content on the platform for portfolio and promotional purposes, which Creator may revoke by deleting their account.

You may not:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Attempt to circumvent Missions fees by transacting outside the platform.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or exploit the platform in unauthorized ways.
• Create multiple accounts to evade bans or suspensions.

Brands may flag submitted content as fraudulent within 72 hours of approval. Verified fraud results in strikes against the creator's account:

• 1 strike: 7-day suspension from applying to new missions.
• 2 strikes: 30-day suspension.
• 3 strikes: Permanent ban.

Missions reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account for violations of these Terms at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Missions does not guarantee the quality of creator content, the accuracy of follower counts, brand safety scores, or that missions will be funded or completed.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Missions and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the fees you paid Missions in the 3 months prior to the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under AAA rules, except either party may seek injunctive relief in court for IP violations.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
