Missions ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Missions creator marketplace at onmissions.fun. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

Information you provide directly

• Account information: name, email address, and hashed password.
• Profile information: bio, niche, social handles, profile picture, and banner image.
• Content submissions: URLs to social media posts submitted as part of missions.
• Payment information: processed through Stripe. We do not store card numbers or bank details.
• Communications: messages sent to our support email.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, and features used on the platform.
• Device and browser information collected by standard web server logs.
• IP address, used for rate limiting and fraud prevention.

Information from third parties

• Public social media data (follower counts, post metadata) fetched via Apify when you connect a social account.
• Stripe account status and payout details shared with us to display your wallet information.

• To provide and improve the Missions platform and its features.
• To process mission payments and payouts through Stripe.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, mission updates).
• To match creators with relevant missions and send mission-match notifications.
• To detect fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and maintain platform safety.
• To display public creator and brand profiles within the platform.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• With brands: When you apply to a mission, your public profile (name, handle, niche, follower count, reputation score) is shared with that brand.
• With service providers: We use Neon (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Apify (social data), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data only as needed to provide their services.
• For legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

Creator profiles, including name, handle, niche, bio, follower counts, connected social accounts, posts, badges, and reputation, are publicly visible on the platform by default. Brand profiles are also publicly visible. You can update or delete your profile at any time from your settings.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g., Stripe transaction records).

We use a single session cookie (missions_session) to keep you signed in. This cookie is httpOnly, secure, and signed with HMAC-SHA256. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or similar services.

We protect your data with industry-standard practices: passwords are hashed with bcrypt, session cookies are cryptographically signed, database access uses parameterized queries, and all connections use HTTPS with HSTS. However, no system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data via your settings page.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability (receive your data in a structured format).

Missions is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
