How Missions works

Everything you need to know before you sign up, whether you're a creator looking to get paid or a brand looking for content.

What is Missions

Missions is a marketplace that connects brands who need real content with creators who make it. A brand posts a mission (what they want made, how much they'll pay, how many creators they need), creators apply, and once approved they post the content and get paid.

The money sits in escrow from the moment a mission is funded, so creators know the payout is real before they make anything, and brands only pay for content they actually approve.

Missions is for creators on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and Twitch who want to get paid for content instead of chasing brand deals in DMs, and for brands who want guaranteed content from vetted creators without negotiating every deal by hand.

Signing up

Missions is currently invite-only. If you don't have an invite code yet, join the waitlist and we'll reach out when a spot opens up.

Creators sign up with your invite code, connect at least one social account so brands can see your real stats, and set your niche. Your follower count, recent posts, and engagement come from your actual account, they're not something you fill in by hand.

Brands sign up with your invite code and set up your profile. Once you're in, you can post your first mission right away.

How missions work, step by step

  1. Create. A brand posts a mission: a title, description, requirements, platform, payout per creator, number of creator slots, and a deadline. The brand then funds the full budget up front.
  2. Apply. Creators browse open missions and apply with a short pitch. The brand reviews applicants (reputation, followers, niche, past work) and approves the ones they want.
  3. Submit. Approved creators post the content on their own account and submit the link back to Missions as proof.
  4. Get paid. The brand reviews the submission. Once approved, payout is automatic, no invoices, no waiting on the brand to send money separately.

Mission types

Missions supports three kinds of campaigns, each with different requirements a creator has to meet:

Standard content

Free-form content missions. The brand describes what they want (format, tone, requirements) and the creator posts to their platform of choice.

Clip campaigns

The brand provides a source video and asks creators to clip and repost it to TikTok or Instagram, meeting a length range and a required caption. Views and likes on the submitted clip are tracked automatically once it's posted.

X / Twitter campaigns

The brand sets required hashtags, mentions, a minimum follower count to apply, and copy guidelines. Creators submit their tweet link, and Missions automatically checks the tweet includes the required hashtags and mentions, and tracks likes, retweets, replies, and impressions.

Fees

Missions charges two separate, transparent fees, one to the brand and one to the creator. There's never a hidden cut.

Brand service fee15%
Creator platform fee5%

Example, on a $100 mission payout:

Mission payout$100.00
Brand pays (payout + 15% fee)$115.00
Creator fee (5% of payout)−$5.00
Creator receives$95.00

Payment options

Brands choose how they want to fund a mission. These are two completely separate tracks that never mix on the same mission:

  • USD, via card or bank. Standard checkout, processed by Stripe. The full budget is charged up front and held until content is approved.
  • USDC, via a Privy embedded wallet. Brands fund missions with USDC on Solana, Base, Ethereum, or BNB Chain, straight from their own wallet.
  • Crypto payouts. Creators on crypto-funded missions receive their payout in USDC, sent directly to their own Privy wallet.
  • Cashing out crypto. Creators can convert USDC to cash and send it to their bank through MoonPay, right from their wallet page.
  • Your wallet is yours. Privy wallets are non-custodial. Missions never holds your funds, they stay in your own wallet the whole time and only move when content is approved.

How payouts work

Payout is instant the moment a brand approves a submission, there's no manual transfer step and no waiting period. Which track a payout follows depends entirely on how the brand funded the mission:

USD track

The brand pays with a card via Stripe. The creator receives USD directly to their connected bank account through Stripe Connect.

Crypto track

The brand pays with USDC from their Privy wallet. The creator receives USDC directly to their own Privy wallet, then can either send it on to an external wallet or cash out to their bank through MoonPay.

Creators can track every payout, pending and completed, from their wallet page, and cash out earnings at any time, whichever track they came in on.

How the invite system works during beta

Missions is invite-only while we're in beta. You need a valid invite code to create an account, whether you're signing up as a creator or a brand.

  • Join the waitlist with your email to be considered for an invite.
  • Joining the waitlist doesn't automatically grant a code, invites are sent out gradually.
  • Each invite code can only be used once. Once you've signed up with one, you're in for good.
  • If you already have a code from someone on the team, enter it on the signup page along with your account details.

FAQ

Do I need a crypto wallet to use Missions?

No. USD via card or bank works end to end without ever touching crypto. Crypto is an option, not a requirement.

What happens if a brand never approves my submission?

The mission budget stays in escrow (or in the brand's own wallet, for crypto-funded missions) until it's approved. If you believe a submission was rejected unfairly, reach out to support.

Can I apply to a mission on a platform I haven't connected?

Connect the relevant platform first. Your follower count and recent posts come from that connection, so brands can see real numbers, not something typed in.

How fast do I get paid after approval?

Payout fires the moment a brand approves your submission. From there it's as fast as your bank (typically 1–2 business days for USD) or near-instant for USDC.

Can a brand fund a mission with both USD and crypto?

No, a brand picks one funding method per mission. The two tracks are kept completely separate.
